I am the Director of Cyclebuddy and I am passionate about getting people riding.
I know that you learn best when you have fun and you ride a bike best when you have fun - so guess what? ………I guarantee, above all we will have fun!
I have spent a number of years in the cycling industry selling bikes and kit, advising on and assessing repairs and fitting people on the right bikes for them.. I am A bikeability instructor and have spent some years teaching children and adults how to ride.
I make riding approachable and possible and aim to make riders who are confident, capable and independent.
I ride because it makes me feel confident, capable and empowered. I want to share this and build a lifelong passion for those I teach.
I’m not a pro rider but then I don’t teach pro riding. I teach the bit before, to open up your world and get started… from there the world is your oyster.
A brief background of me…
In a previous life I have been a nurse, a health visitor concerned with health promotion and healthy lifestyles. I have a Masters degree in food and nutrition and spent some time in education, teaching about food and cooking. What I bring to my business are skills in teaching, in health, in behaviour change and in riding in all its genres and levels.
